An Ordinary Family on an Extraordinary Mission.

We exist to help every person know Jesus, grow in community, and live on mission in their everyday life.

OUR MISSION

Love God. Love people. Make disciples.

Three simple commitments shape everything we do gathered worship, devoted community, and everyday mission in our city and beyond.

A church for the city, sent for the world.

We dream of an Austin where every person has a follower of Jesus they call a friend, and a global family that's still being written today.

A NOTE FROM PASTORS

Meet Pastors Michael & Rachel Ferguson

A smiling man with glasses and a beard and a woman with long blonde hair holding a mug sit at a wooden table outdoors with a house and garden in the background.

We’re Michael and Rachel, parents to 6 amazing kids and two grandchildren. It is truly our joy to welcome you to The Gathering Anderson.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple desire: to help people encounter Jesus, experience real community, and step into the life God has created them to live. We believe church should feel like family not a performance. A place where you can come as you are, be known, and grow in your faith alongside others.

The Gathering was born out of a deep conviction that church was never meant to stop at gathering. Yes, we come together to worship, to find healing, and to be encouraged but we’re also called to be equipped in truth and empowered by the Holy Spirit. And from there, we are sent to live on mission, to love people well, and to make disciples in our everyday lives.

Our prayer is that you would find a home here a place where you can grow, discover your purpose, and walk closely with Jesus in every season.

We’d truly love to meet you.

-Michael and Rachel

Our Vision

Our vision is to see The Gathering Anderson become more than a Sunday church. We want to be a community of believers bringing Jesus into real life into families, friendships, schools, jobs, and neighborhoods.

Because church isn’t just where we go it’s who we are.
